Be Careful What You Wish For Americans...(part 3)

You, the American people, you, my friend & neighbor, YOU the one reading this blog...





   The biggest reason that I believe this to be a very crucial and dangerous time for us as Americans, is that all of these technological advances in security and surveillance have horrific potential. The mood in America is one of paranoia of terrorist attacks. Tension is high, due to issues such as immigration. People are angry and desperate, jobless, homeless with no reason to think that economic recovery is coming anytime soon. The world is dealing with one natural disaster after another. Throw in a few man made disasters (Like EG spewing oil and Japan spewing radiation) and we have a pretty full plate.
   With all this distraction and all this frustration it is a grand opportunity, a moment ripe with tragic fruits, a terrific temptation with horrific implications, for the cessation of evil. This is where we happily trade in a couple of our rights as Americans, to help protect us from terrorists, or to stop the spread of communism, or to stop the flow of illegal immigration.
   We have given away our jobs, our money, our land...our country. Stop trusting our leaders to tell us what is important to us. We are being sold out every day.
   We need to:
Stop policing the world: Our kids are dying all around the world and we let them. The "wars" we fight have always been for money, and we don't see a dime of it. The rich get richer at our expense.
Demand rights to our workers: The corporations have slowly taken away our rights to a decent salary, job security, retirement, medical benefits, vacation pay...on and on. We are becoming nothing more than slaves.
Stop sending jobs overseas: We have to stop buying foreign products and start contracting American businesses again, whatever the cost. This will help to
create jobs and maybe we can begin to gain our Independence and regain our pride.
Invest in education: This is an absolute must! Education is the key to the future. Many of our problems, such as violence, obesity, poor health, drug addiction, crime...all of these will significantly be reduced.
Demand our privacy back: Pre-employment drug testing, credit checks, ethnicity, even criminal background checks have gotten so overwhelming that anyone with any flaw in any part of their life (who is without?) becomes unemployable. How can you deny a person a job because he has bad credit? "You have money problems sir so we can't hire you."
